My 2008 - Medicine

A recollection of what I went through in 2008.

The first 3 months I did my JMOship in Surgical posting. It's such a nice posting. I also got to know what are the criteria to make up a perfect surgical HO, and something about UTI prevention ;)

After surgical, I went to Paediatric department. Had some deep thoughts about the slow-learners that I saw in clinic, and was quite upset for a couple who refused phototherapy for their jaundice baby.

While waiting to get into Medical department, I was put in Emergency, after some confusion made by my director. I shared some of my experiences working in the mad house from start to end:

Then August I took a break to prepare for my "big thing", and it's actually my MRCP Part 1 and I passed!=)

So having passed my exam in Oct, I thought I would join Medical as planned but it's deferred due to the severe shortage of MOs in A&E. Underwent my acute-on-chronic exhaustion and also the crisis at that time.

So now, having my last days in A&E, I'm gonna embark on an exciting new journey in Medical department. Wish me luck! And I'm sure there'll be more stories to share=)
