My 2008 - Magic & Performances

Let's do a summary of what have I done in this year - my magic & performances. I think it's more "happening" in the first half of this year, as I was quite busy preparing for exam after that.

The 1st show of the year - Apex Group annual dinner night. James the event organizer, called us "very marketable magicians" ha. It was a good start;)

The next was Rotary Club Anniversary dinner. The club raised a fund of RM25,000 in the end of the dinner to the palliative care society!

Invited to perform in the 6th Malaysian Colorectal Conference, taken place in Shangri-La Hotel KL in March. I still remember how Mr Mano intro me, ""Dr Darren Lee is a MO from Hosp Taiping, but at the same time he's a magician!..I hope he'll like colorectal surgery, and join us in the future and teach us how to use magic to manage complex surgical wounds!" ;)

During my Induksi course, did performance to our State Health Director. He asked whether I'm a "witch doc"! Ha. And I've also received some very encouraging testimonials after the Induksi!

Invited to perform in the 18th M'sian Congress of Obs & Gyne, taken place in Genting. Very fun experience. Hyphen called it an "entertaining show which made a lot of doctors and nurses happy" in its testimonial=)

Regarding magic, I wrote about 3 person who inspired me: Angela Funovits the female magician, Dr Barton Kamen the prof magician, and David Copperfield's Project Magic.

I've also shared my thoughts on magic, and some of the best magic (Part 1 & Part 2) that I've seen.

Met the Korean magician, Shin Hyun Jae during the Festival of Magic.

And the biggest surprise, getting to know Richard Forget personally!



And lastly, I manage to film my 3rd magic video before the year ends.
