Woo such a long gap since i last posted. Cant blame me as i'm in the most stressful posting in whole Perak now hehe..seriously! Anyway managed to get an one-week break somewhere in between and had a trip to singapore.
Well the initial plan was to watch the long-awaited David Copperfield's magic tour "World of Wonder" in sg. Gosh you know i've been waiting for this since i was a kid! I guess i was among the earliest to get the tickets but all ended up with disappointment..as you all know the show was cancelled due to some legal allegation a woman made on him. What a shame! The incident really happened at a very wrong time. I seriously hope he's gonna be alright and re-run the tour after all.
So we still went to sg. Spent the day-time around Orchard road..had lunch over a Shang Hai's styled restaurant. Also visited the magichall and met Solomon the magician there..it was quite a nice meetup! Bought a few decks of card for collection too=)
This is Billy..my buddy since high school as well as my host in sg. He's the BEST host ever, no doubt! Thanks for EVERYTHING bill! The pic is him busy serving us the tequila shots hehe.
We then hop to "ButterFactory" another club nearby and till about 3am..really had great fun the whole night.
The next day Billy brought us to Vivo city, the new shoppin mall just beside Sentosa. Had our breakfast in one of the coffeeshops..i like the cozy ambience.
The Underwater World is definitely a must-go in Sentosa. The oceanarium showcases more than 2,500 marine creatures..the Touch Pool is quite cool as you can hav 'hands on' experience with starfish, stingrays etc. And needless to say, the moving travellator that ferries us through the underwater world tunnel is the core of it..such a great experience!
A view from height on Sentosa.
And we stayed till night for the new musical fountain performance "Songs of the Sea". I'm totally amazed by how mesmerizing the show was with dramatic effects combining pyrotechnics, lasers, 3D computer imaging, flame bursts, water jets etc etc.
I came across some video clips on YouTube that someone filmed it:
In short, it's a multisensory enjoyment, and the last 5 min is really the ultimate climax. Visually stunning, absolutely awesome. Somethin surely not to be missed when in Sentosa! And there ends my trip to sg, finally must say big thanks again to Billy for hosting us..and i'm glad for our catch up after so many years! =)
